What is everything i need to know about harry potter up to the newest movie?

okay, so, im not into Harry Potter as much as my Best friend is. But i do enjoy it. And when we go watch the Premier of deathly hallows part 2, i dont want to be REALLY lost. So, what are the important things to know?. i know the basics, but i really want to know the most important things. Please! :)
