Halo Novels Help Me!!!?

Hi i own all the halo novels, Fall Of Reach, The Flood, First Strike, Ghosts Of Onyx, The Cole Protocol & Contact Harvest. my question is what order do i read them in, should i read them in order of release Or order of time-line. i have played all the halo games & i want to read the back story of the halo universe but i don't know what order to read them in, Any Help Would Be Very Appreciated thanks.
