Trips ideas for Canada day in Ontario- Any ideas?

Kingston is a beautiful city, not far from Toronto. They have a big Canada day festival there, and you can see fireworks from the beach. another idea would be to go to Elora Ontario, where they have river rafting, family friendly activities and a quaint old town.
