Is getting A-'s in college that bad for a top law school?

You may or may not get into what you consider to be a top school. The danger is that a second-tier law school may offer you a scholarship to go there. Then, when you're halfway through, they decrease or revoke your scholarship, and you're on your own financially at a second-tier school. The reason they do that is to boost their rankings in U.S. News by the number of top-ranked students who go there. Then they drop you.
